Influenced by his father, who was a student judo champion, he learned judo from the time he was old enough to understand, and continued to do it through high school. During a judo match in high school, he suffered a serious injury, breaking his neck, and nearly died. However, he was lucky enough to recover and decided to take up the life he had saved and pursue MMA, which he had loved since childhood.

He won the All Japan Amateur Shooto Championship in 2017, and has a record of eight wins in eight amateur matches. His professional debut against Takeshi Kunigami in May 2018 and Yoshiteru Kubomura in September ended in a draw, but in his match against Tatsuya Tahara in October, he won by submission with a sleeper hold in the middle of the first round.

He also won his match against Koji Issui in June 2019 with a sleeper hold in the first round, marking two consecutive wins. In the ONE JAPAN Series in September 2019, he won by decision against Mitsuhiro Takagi, and in November, he faced Takeshi Okada and won by submission with an armlock at the end of the first round. He then participated in RISE, where he gained experience in stand-up fighting and again won consecutive matches.

He won by TKO against Urijburen at ROAD to UFC in June 2022.
After that, he won by submission against Arai Takumi with a kimura at Shooto in March 2023, and earned himself another chance to compete at ROAD to UFC 2 in May.
At TORAO held in Yamaguchi Prefecture in December, he faced former GLADIATOR champion Kanda T800 Shuichi, winning by submission with a chicken wing armlock in the first round.

So far in MMA he has a large winning record of 10 wins and 4 losses, and 8 of his 10 wins have been by submission, proving his strength in submissions. (As of January 2012)

In this first RIZIN appearance, he is confident, saying, "I have a submission technique that I can execute from anywhere, so I want you to pay attention to that," and he is aiming to make Kenta Takizawa tap out with his aggressive fighting style and become a regular.
